Term Stewardship
The accountable ownership model that assigns people or teams responsibility for defining, reviewing, and maintaining glossary terms over time.
Term stewardship is the practice of assigning explicit accountability for a glossary entry. A steward is responsible for confirming that a definition remains current, that the right aliases are preserved, and that downstream teams know when meaning has changed.
Without stewardship, terminology programs decay into collections of historical guesses. Teams can still publish language, but nobody can confidently say whether the content is current or who should approve a revision.
GlossaryQ treats stewardship as a visible product concern. Buyers should be able to see that term quality depends on accountable review, not just on authoring convenience.
